Lance Reddick Joins Cast of Godzilla vs. Kong - Exclusive First Loock 2020 Cinema



 According to Deadline, The Wire actor Lance Reddick has joined the ensemble cast of Adam Wingard's upcoming monster-up Godzilla vs Kong, the fourth installment in Legendary Entertainment's Monsterverse. It was revealed earlier this week that the main photography for the film has officially started.
Reddick is also known for his role in the Amazon's crime series Bosch. He is set to reprise his role as Charon in the action film John Wick 3: Parabellum opposite Keanu Reeves and Halle Berry.
Godzilla Vs. Kong also stars Alexander Skarsgård (Big Little Lies), Millie Bobby Brown (King of the Monsters), Rebecca Hall (Christine), Brian Tyree Henry (Widows), Shun Oguri (Gintama), Elza Gonzalez Jessica Henwick (Iron Fist), Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2), Kyle Chandler (Manchester by the Sea), Ken Watanabe (Detective Pikachu), Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water) and Demian Bichir (The Nun).
The film's official plot synopsis reads: In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity's fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages . As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unarths clues to Titans' origins, human conspiracies threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.
The 2020 movie serves as both a sequel to last year's Kong: Skull Island, as well as the 2014 Godzilla and the upcoming Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Adam Wingard, the filmmaker behind You're Next, The Guest, and Blair Witch, will direct the film, marking just the second time that the two legendary movie monsters have appeared together in a movie.
The script for Godzilla Kong comes from a writer's room run by Terry Rossio, who co-wrote the Pirates of the Caribbean films and also holds a story credit on 1998's Godzilla. The Star Trek Beyond Writters by Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne, The Kingkiller Chronicles writer Lindsey Beer, Queen of the Air writer Cat Vasko, Maze Runner and Pacific Rim Uprising writer T.S. Nowlin, and comic & television writer J. Michael Straczynski.
Godzilla vs. Kong is set to arrive in theaters on May 22, 2020.
